Annual Club Awards 2025
Our coaches have carefully selected club gymnasts whom have excelled this year.
We are very excited to see them presented with trophies awarded under the following headings:

Gymnast Of The Year: Angharad Llwyd
This year’s Gymnast of the Year demonstrates what our club admires and values. Perseverance, positivity, hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of fun! From the moment she enters the gym she is happy, easy to talk to, and a breath of fresh air. Not only has her gymnastics skills taken leaps and bounds this year, but her confidence has too. She continues to raise the bar not only with her impressive skills and consistent performance, but also through her ability to uplift teammates, help younger gymnasts and lead by example. She has shone in a number of competitions this year which reflects on her determination and absolute commitment. Every coach that teaches this gymnast DEMANDED she got this award this year and I agree wholeheartedly. Their dedication goes far beyond perfecting routines; it shows in her resilience through challenges, her willingness to help others, and the positivity she brings into the gym every session. She is a key member of the club and I’m sure our sessions wouldn’t be as hilarious without her. This award honours her growth in many areas and the level of perfection in every way that she has set for herself and other to aspire to.

Most Dedicated: Begw Williams
This award is presented to a gymnast whose commitment and dedication has shone brightly throughout the entire year. She has been recognised for this award by many of our coaches and I’m sure her parents will also agree. Being here 3 times a week clearly isn’t enough for her as her parents have said she’s asking to stay longer if she can. She is a gymnast who shows up to every session with determination, she tries new skills, pushes through challenges, perfects the skills she has and strives to become the best version of herself. She is constantly positive, always smiling, laughing, coming into the office to say hello to me and my dad. She’s made a lasting impression on all our older gymnast who absolutely love her and she is a key part of the mini dragon’s team and the friendships that she has made. She is a massive team player who always supports the rest of her group and is the first to check up on any gymnast. She approaches gymnastics with passion and this has relayed into her competitions this year; beginning with the prelims competition where she took away a 5th on floor, 6th on vault and 4th overall with a team second. Taking many placements in our club champs comp in the summer. In the Buckley summer comp she took a 2nd on vault, 3rd on tumble, 6th on range and conditioning and 2nd overall. She then took part in her first Tumble competition coming away with 2nd place. And in her last comp of the year achieving 1st on vault and an overall 2nd. She truly is the sweetest, funniest, dedicated Mini Dragon who is absolutely adored by myself and all the coaches.

Stand Out Gymnast: Elena Jones
This award is presented to a gymnast who has truly been a standout gymnast this year. With exceptional skill, determination, and consistency, they have risen above challenges and delivered remarkable performances time and time again. From taking part in an array of competitions beginning with Prelims she took away a 5th on the floor, 5th on vault, and a 3rd overall and also a team 2nd. She travelled down to Llanelli for the Prelims final taking a 3rd on floor out of the whole of Wales. In Deeside sets she took a 5th on floor, as well as our club champs competition taking placements. The Buckley summer invitational getting a 4th on vault, 3rd on tumble, 4th on range and conditioning and 3rd overall- she has stood out time and time again, always on our coach’s minds. At every competition and every session, she amazes everyone around her by being so precise, focused and elegant. Not only is she an amazing gymnast, she has a quick wit, funny personality that keeps all our coaches on their toes. She’s caring to everyone around her and is truly a star.

Outstanding Tumbler Of The Year: Elliw Morris
This award is presented to this gymnast who has shown exceptional skill, precision, and flair in tumbling throughout the year. Their dedication to perfecting every skill has set them apart, making their performances impressive, and their hard work inspiring. Beyond their technical ability, they demonstrate consistency, determination, positivity and always being polite. She is a key gymnast who strives in teamwork, she is the first gymnast to help someone, to talk to someone if they are upset, to speak for others if they feel they cannot, she is the gymnast a coach will ask to buddy up with a newcomer and that is something to be proud of. She has shown remarkable growth in every way over the year, physically, mentally and emotionally. This has been her year to shine! She attends every comp possible, with her parents driving up and down Wales multiple times this year. With tumble comp this year allowing her to show off her skills with many placements, hurdles and achievements, she has made her coaches proud. Through many challenges, breakthroughs, and countless hours of being at the gym she has transformed her skills, strengthened her confidence and discovered a belief in themselves! Her progress is visible not only through her tumbles but her attitude and determination. She is an example that growth comes from effort, courage and heart, and this is the year her passion for gymnastics has shone through!

Outstanding Tumbler Of The Year: Molly Roberts
This award celebrates a gymnast whose tumbling skills have truly stood out this year. With impressive energy, bravery, hardwork, they bring excitement to every session. She always tries her best and manages to put a smile on all her coaches and fellow gymnasts faces. Their bright spirit and remarkable progress make them a well-deserved recipient of the Best Tumbler of the Year award

Most Improved: Willow Gardner
This award is presented to a gymnast who has shown outstanding improvement in her little leopards session this year. Through hard work, growing confidence and a lot of fun, she has made remarkable progress. Their willingness to try new skills, learn from challenges, makes them an example of improvement. She quietly gets on, with no drama and friend to all and is truly amazing!

Most Improved: Mabli Jones
This award honours a gymnast who has shown remarkable growth and determination throughout the year. Through hard work, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement, she has transformed challenges into achievements. Accomplishing many skills on all the equipment, preforming in competitions and consistently being a breath of fresh air. She is easy to talk to, and has a kind heart. Not only has she taken strides in her gymnastics skills but her confidence has grown immensely too. We are super proud of the gymnast and person she is growing up to be.

Most Focused: Ella Griffiths
This gymnast deserves this award because their focus sets them apart from any other gymnast. Through every practice, performance and competition, their effort, discipline, and laser-sharp concentration shine above everyone. Throughout this year this gymnast took a team 2nd in The prelims, 5th in range and conditioning at Deeside sets, medals in our club champs, 6th on vault, 2nd on range and conditioning with a 5th overall in Buckley Invitational, a 2nd on floor with a 5th overall in Gymspire which took her to the finals in Llanelli where she performed amazingly and a final tumble comp of the year coming away with 4th in Cardiff. Not only has this gymnast preformed in her usual competitions this year but has taken on tumble comps too. With a huge number of skills learnt and preformed, this couldn’t be done without her constant focus and determination. Her confidence has grown immensely through the year and we cannot wait to see what’s next. Not only is she a hard worker, she is a kind individual and a pleasure to have at the gym.

Last To Leave: Ella Williams
This gymnast 100% deserves this award for being the last gymnast to leave the gym. After her busy sessions, she wants a few more goes on the fast track, or wants to show us coaches a skill, or wants her mam to watch her. She tries her absolute hardest when in her sessions, she sets an example of resilience to other gymnasts around her. She has taken strides in her gymnastics this year, beginning her journey at our club in September last year doing one hour a week to now being in our squad and taking part in an array of competitions this year where she has made outstanding progress. From taking part in her first two comps of the year, then doing amazing in our club champs, to a competition in the summer where she took away 4th on vault, 1st on tumble, 1st on range and conditioning and 1st overall. Her next tumble comp taking a 3rd, she then took a 2nd on floor in her next comp which have her great scores across the board which took her to the finals in Llanelli, we are super proud of all you have achieved. She is the kind of person whose thoughtfulness lifts her fellow gymnasts up, she always compliments the people around her, including us coaches which makes us feel happy and positive. Her kindness and her cheeky smile are something to be admired. With a genuine heart and an outlook that inspires others, she is an absolute delight and makes every space she enters better.

Little Miss Sunshine: Ivy Morris
This award is presented to a gymnast whose bright personality lights up the gym. With a constant smile, positive attitude, and boundless energy, she brings joy and laughter to everyone around her. Her warmth and enthusiasm make her our Little Miss Sunshine, spreading happiness wherever she goes.

Little Mr Sunshine: Ted Ogwen
This award is given to a gymnast whose bright spirit brings joy to everyone around them. He is always smiling, being positive, and is full of energy, he lifts each coach’s mood every time he enters the gym and we all look forward to seeing him each week. His cheerful attitude and infectious enthusiasm make him our Little Mr. Sunshine.

Triple A Award: Molly Fagence
This award goes to a gymnast whose positivity and happiness has been recognised by our coaches. Always bringing a cheerful attitude to the gym, always trying her best and never making a fuss. She has been at the club since the beginning in November 2020, with all those years having a constant smile on her face. Always motivated, eager to learn, she brings an encouraging energy to every practice. She is kind and polite to gymnasts and coaches, her outstanding attitude makes her a joy to coach.

Triple A Award: Eira Fernyhough
This award recognizes a gymnast whose positive attitude has shone brightly throughout the year. During her sessions, she brings enthusiasm, encouragement, and spirit to every moment. Her uplifting energy inspires others and strengthens her groups. This year she has developed immensely in her session, preforming new skills consistently. Every session she arrives with 100% energy, which makes us all jealous. But most importantly, she comes with a heart of kindness and warmth.

Triple A Award: Lleu Pritchard
This award is presented to a gymnast whose positive attitude has made a lasting impact on his coaches and fellow gymnasts this year. Always supportive, optimistic, and eager to learn, he brings positivity to every session and challenge. His consistent happiness and joyful spirit uplifts the entire session. His coaches look forward to have him turn up to his sessions every week and miss him when he isn’t there.

Best Newcomer: Sofia Thompson
This award celebrates a gymnast who has made an outstanding impression on her coaches. She has only been a member for 3 months and has shone brightly in her sessions, with coaches always comment on her skill. Since September she has shown enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Her rapid progress has made her a remarkable newcomer and a promising gymnast for the future!

Most Focused: Cati Williams
This award honours a gymnast whose amazing focus and long-standing dedication has made them a key member of the club. From starting at the club from the beginning five years ago, attending almost every session and always turning up with a huge smile on her face, always polite, she is a breath of fresh air. Through years of commitment, she has set an exceptional example for others to follow and aspire to be like. She is sweet, attentive, friendly and a role model to any younger gymnast in the club.
